Ultherapy
Ultherapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses focused ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production and lift and tighten the skin. It targets deeper layers beneath the skin’s surface without disrupting the outer layer, making it suitable for areas such as the brow, lower face, jawline, neck, and décolletage. Ultherapy gradually improves skin firmness and contour over the course of 2–3 months, with continued improvement for up to 6 months. While results can be long-lasting, individual response varies, and some patients may benefit from repeat treatments. Expectations should be managed, and in cases of significant laxity, surgical procedures like a facelift or neck lift may offer more comprehensive results.
Instructions for Ultherapy:
- Do not use the following products for 3 days before and after your treatment or until any redness has subsided: Retin- A, retinoids, or similar vitamin A compounds, harsh scrubs or exfoliating products and bleaching creams.
- Avoid tanning or prolonged sun exposure for 2 weeks before and after treatment.
- Avoid blood thinners and heavy alcohol 2 weeks prior to treatment.
- Notify your provider if you have a history of cold sores/fever blisters.
Post-care Instructions

- Avoid facials, steam rooms, and saunas for 2 weeks post procedure.
- Some patients may experience mild bruising, numbness, and shooting pains in the treated areas after the procedure. Some patients may have temporary welts that last a few days, in rare cases longer. If this occurs cool compresses can be applied to the area each hour for 5- 10 minutes
IPL
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and laser treatments use light-based technology to target specific concerns in the skin, such as hyperpigmentation, redness, sun damage, and unwanted hair. These treatments work by delivering controlled energy into the skin to break down pigment or stimulate collagen production. Commonly treated areas include the face, neck, chest, and hands. IPL is best suited for pigmentation and vascular concerns, while laser options can also address deeper concerns such as acne scars, wrinkles, and skin texture. Multiple sessions are often required for optimal results. As with all treatments, expectations should be managed, and more advanced skin laxity or damage may be better addressed with surgical procedures or combination therapies.
Pre-Procedural Instructions
- Avoid sun exposure (apply sunscreen daily and do not tan at all – including self-tanner) for 4 to 6 weeks before and after treatments.
- Do not use any retinol products (or products containing tretinoin) or exfoliants on the area to be treated for one week. Avoid Accutane (or isotretinoin products) for 6 months prior. Let your doctor know if you have a history of hyperpigmentation.
- Please let us know if you have a history of fever blisters or cold sores. We will write you a prescription for a prophylactic antiviral therapy to start on the day of the treatment to prevent a flare up of cold sores. If you have a current prescription, Valtrex 500mg should be taken by mouth twice daily on the day before, the day of, and the day after your treatment.

- You may have a mild sunburn (burning) sensation following the treatment that is usually gone within a few hours. Skin redness is normal and may last a few days. There may be a slight amount of swelling.
- Pigmented areas may begin to flake after a few days.
- Your skin will be fragile for 2-3 days. Use gentle cleansers, do not rub the skin and avoid hot water during this time.
- Do not use your Clarisonic or a loofah for one week.
- Do not use any retinoids, tretinoins, alpha or beta hydroxy products, vitamin C products, scrub, exfoliate, or have chemical peels performed on the areas treated area for one week. Makeup can be applied immediately (if the skin is not broken) we recommend mineral based makeup.

Microneedling with PRP
Microneedling with PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is a collagen-stimulating treatment that uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, enhancing absorption of PRP and triggering the body’s natural healing response. PRP is derived from the patient’s own blood and is rich in growth factors that promote skin regeneration. This treatment can improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, and overall tone. Microneedling with PRP is typically performed on the face, but can also be used on the neck, décolletage, and other areas. Results are gradual and multiple sessions may be recommended. Expectations should be managed, as deeper wrinkles or laxity may require additional treatments or surgical intervention.
Pre-Procedural Instructions
- Sun exposure and/or usage of a tanning bed, including self-tanning products must be avoided for a minimum of 24 hours before and after the treatment, and preferably for up to 1-2 weeks to minimize the risk of post treatment temporary dyspigmentation (darkening or lightening of the skin). It is most commonly injected into areas of the scalp affected by androgenetic alopecia (pattern hair loss). A series of treatments is typically recommended, with maintenance sessions as needed.
